Subcaliber Practice Rifles?

Does anybody else have/use them?

Right now, my mainstay hunting rifle is a 1974 vintage Marlin 336 in .35, and I have a Golden 39A even with the hammer offset. Also have a Remington Model 14 in .30 Remington and a Model 12 that has the same safety configuration and the funky John Pedersen reciprocating magazine.

As an aside, does anybody know of a gunsmith in East TN that relines .22 barrels?

I have a .22lr AR upper that I train with occasionally in lieu of my 5.56.

I have never seen a 22 rifle with a shot out barrel, I have seen some ruined by cleaning. recrowning on the other hand has saved several over the rears

Ruined 22 barrels are reasonably common on rifles and pistols that predate noncorrosive priming (pre 1930s), and even more so on rifles that predate smokeless powder. Smaller bore= higher concentration of mercuric priming/black powder fouling...

Long time ago I purchased an A-Bolt in 22LR.

This was supposed to save me money on ammo, probably because the magazine only holds 5.

But like DA I have enough to last at least through the alien Kenyan potentate's reign may a camel lay a big one in his nest.

My main cheap shooting rifle is a Marlin 1894 in 32-20. I can use my wheel weight cast bullets and the many 1 cent a piece small rifle primers along with cheap Unique powder I bought years ago to shoot it for 3 cents per shot. In other words practically free. It's my favorite rifle for just walking around the farm whacking away at whatever looks like a good target.
