So this gray scale stuff on my pontoons. 1990 lowe pontoon. This stuff seems to sand off but I swear it is etched into my toons. What is it and how do i get rid of it?

I think there is a toilet bowl cleaner that works very well, but it will dull the shine of the metal. Let me see if I can find it.

You may want to try some of the stuff out there that cleans stainless steel/aluminum outdoor grills as well. I'm guessing Lowes/Home Depot would have it in their grill section.

its normal,be carefull if you use any kind of acid as it will get into the carpet on the bunks & might eat a hole thru a tube if not all rinsed out good,

Toon Brite is what we use in our shop. Let me get with our detailer and see what else he uses. He has some sort of metal compound that we use to remove waterlines on aluminum boats also.

The works bathroom cleaner, a empty two liter liter and drop in a few aluminum foil balls and shake it up and you have quiet the bomb. Sorry just brought back some childhood memories!
