Stumped

Hey guys
I hunt 2 properties that join each other
2 weeks ago I saw and came close to killing a monster
He wAs with 2 other bucks , one of which saw me and scarred the bigger deer off
He wasn't freaked out , none blew me
Any how last Sunday I hunted the other property and had 4 does come by in a run , not far behind them were 5 (different) bucks together
I went back to the other place and close to where is saw the big deer I found some monster rubs and about 6 scrapes all fresh
I have hunted the spot for 3 days with no bucks
The scrapes have not been freshened up
I can't figure out where the bucks are at as far as rutting
I kinda figure if they are not working the scrapes they may have started looking for does
But on the other hand I just seen the 5 bucks running together a few days ago

What am I missing here

I agree
The aces I hunt are wierd
The property I seen the big buck on has very few and I mean a few does
The other property has a spot that does (many) does cross
I am going to hang there for opening muzzleloader and see what happens

It's just got me stumped . Seeing bucks together , but bucks stop working scrapes

they or he may not come back and check the scrapes for a few days. I'm sure they have made more than just what you have seen. majority of the time i see scrapes along field edge's or down open road ways in the woods. Seen something new the other day when i was walking to my stand in the dark through the woods. I ended up walking on top of 4 scraps in a row. Never seen a scrape line before that wasn't in an open or semi-open area. I have seen rub lines in wooded areas.
