Went by a field this morning and the 2 hens out there had a big ol blown up tom with them.

Yessir. I saw my first strutter late February on a cold sunny morning. Seen a few more since.

I have seen them strutt in December

I saw them strutting in January....

I don't look for when they're strutting, I look for when the winter flocks start breaking up, which usually starts right about now every year.

Saw a big strutter tending his harem yesterday in the Murfreesboro.. He was in the same spot for at least an hour. No other birds just he and his ladies.
