Well for those of you not deer hunting...just a heads up. Stripers are starting to break on top. Find the shad...find the fish. The problem was...we were crappie fishing and only had crappie stuff in the boat. These things are a crazy strong when you are fighting them on gear cut out for them....try fighting them on crappie gear :) They were breaking all around us really well but it took so long to get these in, that they had already gone down. 8 lb test line and crappie rods just don't leave much room for horsing a striper.

Is that Watts bar?

Yeah, lower end of Watts Bar. Chickamauga is nearly at winter pool...Watts Bar didn't look like it had dropped an inch. Lots more baitfish on Chickamauga right now...but didn't see anything starting to break on them down there, other than those little yellow stripe. Watts Bar the water is warmer, and shad less plentyful but the stripe were starting to break. They wouldn't do it for long....just here and there, but they are starting.

Love it. My first striper was 14 lbs on a 5' ultralight crappie rod with 4lb Mr Crappie line. It took a while!!!!!!!

My buddy has been doing well on Watts this fall so far, I need to hook up with him and chase them suckers.
