String & Cable Replacement ?

Is $142.45 plus tax a good price to replace the string and cable on my bow and tune it? Americas Best Bowstrings or First String will be used.

Seems high. Check with Matt at Energy Wave Bowstrings. He makes a great string. Check out the archery forum as well.

$142 is an absolute ripoff! Do yourself a favor and get a EnergyWave Bowstring--higher quality with no peep rotation and little if any creep, better warranty, custom colors, fellow tndeer.com member and a heck of a lot cheaper.....$55 or so for the entire set. Most shops will charge $30-$50 to install, setup and time a new string.

I've used almost every string out there and his is by far the best I've used.

X3 on matt...Runs a great shop. Check out his website that TNdeerguy posted above. Lots of colors and combinations and great pricing. He also sells anything else you might need.

Never heard of First String but do know Americas Best is far from best.

Most custom string makers get $75- $90 for string and cables.
Have never seen any energy strings but have talked to Matt.Seems straight up and all reviews are positive.
But wait a minute.$55 or so for string and cables and a tune.If that includes setting the correct axil to axil,brace and cam rotation.Well let me know and i'll take him my Elite Pulse next week.After Kys openening weekend.

Cable and String itself is $55 or so�not sure what he charges to install, as I do my own work�best to call him to verify pricing.
