Strange kicker point

I can't quiet tell what is going on with the kicker point growing out of the back of this buck's left beam, but it appears to have two or three points at the end of it:

Looks like it definitely forks or splits. Heavy buck on the bottom as well. Both in the same area?

I think the buck in the second photo is the same as the first. We are looking at a "top view" of the tine rather than a "front view".

Correct me if I am wrong.

That is correct. Same buck. You can see the kicker with at least a fork at the end in the bottom picture.
