Strange deer behavior

I was coming down the mountain this morning when I noticed a deer on the right side of the road. I slowed down then noticed one walking across the road from the left lane. I was able to drive all the way up to it. I could have pushed it with my bumper. Now it wasnt doing the frozen deer in the headlights thing. It was just casually walking across the road and acted as if I wasnt even there. There was a guy that drove around me and the deer and i ended up seeing him at the gas station later and he said when that deer finally got to the edge of the road that it hit the guard rail when it jumped over it. Has anyone experienced something like that or could this one have been sick?

Strange behavior and could be anything but sure sounds a lot like clinical signs of CWD.

Very likely sick of sorts, but hard to be sure of exactly what is going on with it.

If this was around cannon county, it's possible that the deer got into somebody's pot plants and was stoned

I hope CWD hasn't spread this far, that fast.

Haha yeah this was in woodburry right at the city limits. I sure hope it's not cwd

Google maps shows it's about 220 mi from the CWD hot zone to Woodbury and the trip can be driven in less than 4 hours...that's how fast it can spread. I sure hope hunters abide by the new rules re: transporting carcasses going forward.

I hope this is not the case but I feel like it's most likely already in alot of other counties.

Honestly I didnt notice. I was a little more concerned with the guy behind me running into me. He didnt slow down he just drove around me. Only thing that really caught me off guard was the fact that she acted like I wasnt even there. My car couldn't have been more then two feet away from her
