Storing Bare Root Seedlings

I just received 50 Crabapple bareroot seedlings as well as 500 Pine. Any issue with storing this in an old refrigerator I have? I plan on potting the crabapple this weekend but will be a while before I can get all 500 pine planted. Hope to get about half done this weekend but may be 2 weeks before I can plant the other half. They came in much quicker than I expected. Plan on keeping the roots wet and also keeping them in the wax bag they came in. Needless to say, busy weekend. Thanks.

We have a cooler room that we use. It stays 40 degrees in the cooler. We spray water on all our plants twice a day, mainly on the roots. They stay like this for 5 months out of the year without any problems.
