SI reporting TEX AM to name stoops as new head coach.
I read that on SDS. Crazy. All of that money to run Fisher out of town and then you replace him with Stoops? Not saying that it won't work out, but it just seems far from a "home run hire"

If he can win at Kentucky why not A&M? Think it could be a good thing if they can get him.

Depends on what a person thinks is winning. 35-55 conference record. Outside of the 2 10 win seasons and the 2 wins his 1st year, overall his teams average 6.4 wins per year.

If it was truly his decision, I don't blame him. He's in a good position there. A lot less pressure then if he were to go to A&M. He makes enough money.
There are some fans who think he's reached his ceiling there, but the more rational ones think he's probably the best they can get.
What did they average before his arrival? Not saying he's the best shot for A&M but not a bad candidate in the mix.

Recruitment is the key. Stoops has been getting it done at Kentucky with three stars recruits, whereas if he went to a "football school" he could possibly get some four and five star recruits. Kentucky victory over #10 Louisville at Louisville eysterday was a major accomplishment. I still don't like some of his playcalling. He has taken Kentucky from the bottom of the SEC to the middle, just can't get over the hump. Losing to South Carolina, Missouri, and TN this year were all heartbreaking, winnable games.

Well well well. Looks like Texas A&M Fans ripped a page out of the old vols fanbase page book and pitched a temper tantrum like the vols did with Shiano and got ole Stoops fired before the ink got dried out and now Elko is in. Wonder how much that cost Texas A&M ?
