The KY boards can't believe it and hope it goes through, while the A&M boards are threatening riots :) !

I read that on SDS. Crazy. All of that money to run Fisher out of town and then you replace him with Stoops? Not saying that it won't work out, but it just seems far from a "home run hire"

If he can win at Kentucky why not A&M? Think it could be a good thing if they can get him.
Depends on what a person thinks is winning. 35-55 conference record. Outside of the 2 10 win seasons and the 2 wins his 1st year, overall his teams average 6.4 wins per year.

Rumor also has it they are gonna go after Kirby. Of course, that's a bust for them. But I thought it was funny. Just like when texas made a run at saban.

Kirby is not leaving Georgia. He may leverage a A&M offer to increase his pay at Georgia. But he will stay there until georgia gets rid of him. Probably gonna be a long while too at this pace

Recruitment is the key. Stoops has been getting it done at Kentucky with three stars recruits, whereas if he went to a "football school" he could possibly get some four and five star recruits. Kentucky victory over #10 Louisville at Louisville eysterday was a major accomplishment. I still don't like some of his playcalling. He has taken Kentucky from the bottom of the SEC to the middle, just can't get over the hump. Losing to South Carolina, Missouri, and TN this year were all heartbreaking, winnable games.

I may be wrong, but possibly Stoops did remove his mame when they told him he'd have to fo this 😁!

LOL all jokes aside before Jumbo I had a healthy respect for the Texas A&M rilverly and posted as much on this Forum and always said Texas A&M played ALABAMA hard. probably harder than anyone at the time and was probably the biggest threat to us . They were always knocking on out back door.

I will enjoy finally having a coach at the helm who has some decency to him. Hes a great guy. And honestly he is a much bigger threat to the ALABAMA program than Jimbo ever was. The entire SEC needs to watch out for Texas A&M in the coming years if they can retain and recruit right. I don't see them making a big splash next year but watch out.
