Got my stock in for a rifle I'm putting together. Fit and finish is excellent for the money compared to some of the more expensive brands. This one is a Bell & Carlson Tactical/Varmit metalist. It was alot of work fitting the stock to the 30"- 1.250/down to .940 barrel.

Good lookin' stock. One of those might have to be in my future. I've got a Remington short action rifle that just begs to be rebarreled and I like that stock.

I tried a B&C 'carbelite' for a buddies VLS...the stock felt great but the recoil lug area wouldn't allow his VLS to drop-in. I understand what you are saying about the work required to make a B&C stock work. Your bbl was fatter than B&C intended but I assure that you aren't finished.

I set the stock up in a mill and opened up the recoil lug pocket forward, because when I rebarreled my action I went with a oversize recoil lug(3/8"). Other than a skim bedding job over the full length bedding block it will be ready to go.
