I had planned to get this done a few weeks ago, but you know the one about the "best laid plans..." You think I still have time to sow winter wheat? Looks like were in a dry spell for the next several days. I'm getting my plot disked this week. Has my window of opportunity passed?

you will be fine. i have one field to plant yet, trying to get it accomplished today or tomorrow. this month is a good time by the way. i would shoot for the 15th at the latest but it will make it regardless.

You should be good to go as long as you get a rain on it and the turkeys don't eat all of it.

Thanks for the information. I know what you mean about the turkeys. I planted this same plot in wheat a couple years ago and rain didn't fall on it for a week. By that time, the turkeys got most of the seed.

Thanks for all the advice. Got it planted in wheat, with a strip of turnips, on the 11th. Got good rain Wednesday and Thursday so maybe I'm alright. I'll know in a couple of days if the turkeys foiled me again.
