Come gun season I do most my hunting from the ground.
90% of the bucks on my wall we're killed at very close range while still hunting.
Nothing beats the thrill of slipping up on a buck.
Sitting high in a tree and waiting for him to walk by doesn't do it for me.

I'm right there with ya!
Although its tuff for me right now with the freeze, river bottom and ice.....everwhere I step ===crunch

Same here, lots of Frozen backwater in the woods.
Water is gone but still got the ice.

I love ground hunting! I like the thrill of it being up close and on the edge of your seat excitement! If I only had one more buck tag I would try to get up close and personal one more time!
