I got several pictures of this buck back in the summer and after a lot of contemplation, I determined that he was likely a 2.5 yr old and made a commitment to pass him this season. My son called him Stickers because of all the stickers on his rack and we've called him that ever since.

As the season progressed, I continued to get pictures of him and in late October he finally showed himself while I was in a tree. It was tougher to pass him than I thought it would be, but I did. I saw him 3 more times during the season and each time I stuck with my commitment to give him a pass hoping he would make it through the season.

He continued to use the same corn field almost daily and then around Christmas he vanished. I held out hope, but I figured that someone had killed him over the holidays and that would be the last I saw of him.

Well, I finally get back in to check my cameras today and he is alive and well! I got several pictures of him after the season ended back in the same corn field he had been using.

Then, on my way out, I actually ran into him on the edge of another cut corn field sparring with a smaller buck. Luckily, I had my camera and was able to get a couple of pics. Hopefully he stays off the roads and makes it until next season. I would love to pull a card in late July and see ole Stickers again!

Great personal management philosophy in my book.

The fact you've seen "Stickers" so many times is additional evidence he is likely only 2 1/2.

Can't wait to see your pics of "Stickers" when he grows his next set of antlers! THAT, JUST SEEING THEM at 3 1/2, THAT ALONE would be a far greater reward to me personally than having killed that particular buck as a 2 1/2. Hopefully, one of your children will get him next year.

Thanks guys.

I'm looking forward to turkey season, but I'm REALLY looking forward to late July.
