I'm going to spend the first week of gun season hunting in middle or west TN. Don't have a hunting lease so will be hunting public land. I live in Knoxville and have always just hunted close to home so I don't know much about middle or west TN. And sense most of the paper co. land is no longer public I am looking for a state wide season WMA that is good hunting. Not wanting to get in someones tree stand just a point in the right direction.
Thanks
Tom

I can point you in a general direction on North Cumberland WMA. It's a heck of a lot closer to your house than Eagle Creek. If I wasn't on a lease, that's where I would be hunting every chance I got.

TVA land around Hamilton County is a waste of time. Small pockets with little or no access with more nosy neighbors than deer. The maps are available through the tva.gov website...and in most cases, access by boat is the only way. Good luck anyway, and remember, you're guaranteed to hear, see and smell a good time no matter what!

We used to go to cheatham wma above nashville when it was still either sex. It's buck only now but there are some big bucks still running around. It's a big place and u should have it all to yourself after the weekend.
