I saw a buck on here several months back saying it would have to go through the drying period but was most likely be the new state record. I have yet to hear anything about it and was just wondering if anyone had heard anything?

Great example here of how the picture angle can distort the size.
Agree 110%, as well as distort the viewers perception of reality. Pictures can be deceiving, both for and against a given animal when compared to holding it in hand.

I agree. It can go both ways. Like the pic of that new non-typical world record. It has nothing to compare it with thus making it look small.

Was he shot in the buttocks (In my best Forest Gump voice)?
I may be wrong but I think he was left overnight and found the next day, hence coyotes got to his hindquarters!

You see so many deer that look huge in a picture only to actually see them and wonder if its the same deer. Reguardless of picture size or score its still a great buck.
