Yesterday I went to look at a house on 5 acres in lebobon. The house was maybe a minutes drive from ceder of lebobon. I saw 3 deer and 2 turkey while I was out there and that area itself is gorgeous. Anyway I pulled up my hunting maps and the property backs right up to the woods but the area is shaded blue and says state of tn 22nd floor. Does anybody know what that is. I'd say from eyeballing it on the map that ceders is about 10 acres beyond that other land.

Most likely it's cedars of lebanon state forest. State land on property assessor can be shown as 22nd Floor.

So would you think that's considered public hunting land as well or off limits?

Without knowing the exact parcel you are looking at its hard to say. However, if it's Cedars State Forest hunting is allowed.

Ok well the area that butts up against the property is shaded blue and says tn state and then further in it's a different shade of blue and says ceders of lebobon I guess it's best if I just ask a game warden the next time I see one. Thanks for the help anyways

You can go by the forestry office and show them the location. They will know exactly who owns the land and the hunting regs.

They will always so no-at least in my experience.

For example, there is some prime Wolf river State-owned land that is not owned by the conservancy and you can't hunt it.

Go to the Park Office. They have a map of the park and forest. The rangers I spoke with there a couple of years ago when I started hunting out there were very friendly and helpful. There are approximately 5500 huntable acres on the park side, not sure about the other side. I've not gotten / seen any monsters, but I get enough for freezer meet every year. Good luck.
