Looks good. Have corn and some beans in here, think some of my beans got flooded out, going to have to fill in some spots. Will probably pick up some pepper and tomato plants this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Grew my own plants this year. Hopefully they will do well, so far they look good. Will start planting next week. I plant peas a few weeks ago, they all came up and getting ready to trellis them.

Have potatoes, three variety of onions, raddish and garlic in the ground...looking good.
Have tomatoe, cucumber, squash, zucchini and okra started in small pots...hope to transplant soon....but some of it is still to small.....ready to get the garden going.

Have 75 pickling cucumber plants, close to 200 provider beans, bunch of ambrosia sweet corn, and probably some onions that will go in between today and Saturday. Still abkut 2 weeks before I get maters in the ground, and my peppers are taking forever so not sure on them. Love this time of year!

This^^^^. We started this a few years ago. We choose heirloom varieties and save the seeds. It's the only way to come out cost effective in my opinion.

My peppers are taking forever as well?...got decent germination but they are growing super slow? Guess they need more heat....tomatoe, okra, squash and other stuff is doing good but I may end up buying a few pepper plants.

Got our first round of bush beans in the ground this afternoon.....transplanted few more volunteer tomatoe plants into pots.....beutiful afternoon to work in the garden.

These recent cool nights will hold your pepper plants and most tomatoes back. They will respond to the coming warmup. Just consider them hot weather plants. They don't like to be cold and we all get in a hurry to put them out.
Rained hard here this morning, too muddy to even think about planting anything else or working in our garden today. Oh well maybe this next week.
Haven't planted anything yet. Rain, fishing,turkeys & ball games getting in way. Plenty of time yet & cooler weather ahead too

Grew mine from seeds and they're still in their little pots. Will probably get them in the ground this week.
I put in 'maters, eggplants, corn, cucumbers and green beans about April 13th.
Added some jalapeños and green bell peppers about a week ago and they're already taking off. Also had better than expected germination on last years leftover turnip seed.
Green beans and cukes were a bust. Having to start over with those. Weeds are already getting a good foothold. The mud is making it very hard to keep control, but I shall endeavor to persevere…

I tried starting seeds under grow lights in my basement last year. That didn't work very well. Figured this year I'd just buy my starts.
I've had plans to put a small, built-in seed starting greenhouse of sorts on the south corner of my big porch, and I'm going to make it a priority this year to have it ready for this next Jan/Feb. Seems like almost nobody is selling inexpensive six packs of starts anymore. It's all Bonnie Plants singles for $4.98 each everywhere you look.
I lucked out and was able to score maters, eggplants and peppers at the Ft Campbell PX for $1.25 per 4 pack, but the selection was poor. Not going to rely on that going forward.

Got my beans, peppers, tomatoes, squash, zuke , cukes, planted today. Already had peas and broc doing pretty good. let it rain. Still figuring out my gardening where to plant, do raised beds or in the ground right now got a mix. But if all produce, be some good eating. Plus raised my own plants this year, still figuring that out too.
I bought some of my seeds at Rural King in Clarksville this year. It was the only place I could find flat Italian green bean seed locally. Planted a 30' row, and got 7 plants. Backseeded with more, and zero germination. Obviously a bad batch of seeds at Rural King. Also planted some cucumbers from there and got one plant.
I've since replanted with Blue Lake green beans and more cucumbers with Ferry Morris seed from Lowe's, and seeing almost 100% germination.

Roma beans are great but I've never gotten good germination from them. Always have to go back several times to fill in gaps. Ordered some heirloom ones a few years back & paid dearly for them with same results....I can plant rattlesnake or LA purple pod and have to thin them a couple times
I had much better germination in past years when planting Burpee Roma seeds fresh for the year. Not so much with the previous year's leftovers! The Rural King "Livingston " brand seeds were an abject failure.
Ok garden gurus I need some advice. I just can't get a good stand of sweet corn. I planted early and had a big hail storm that damaged a lot of my corn when it was a few inches tall, but even then didn't have a good stand. I replanted two rolls and I'd say 1/2 or less germinated.
This isn't a one time thing. Pretty much every year, using different seeds. Everything else in the garden grows just fine. Any tips to growing sweet corn would be appreciated.

Are you sure crows aren't getting your seed when it sprouts? I buy my seed from our local nursery and don't really have issues with germination, even when using old seed.
