[30-06 type of guy]

Saw the first 2 doe about 730 this morning but after whiffing on a good mature buck last week the thought was still stuck in my head. 8:15 had a doe sneak in around 40 yards and let 7mm08 bark. About 9:10 I see a buck chasing a doe but can't see the antlers and they disappeared on past me. I check back up a catch this buck a few min later on the same path. I could make out the claw side and home being wide then seen the body and knew I was shooting. Got him to stop and fired a shot. He runs but I see a deer pop back out and 20yards closer out of the brush but he has an actual rack on the left side then he turned his head and I saw the claw. Threw me completely off. I put another round in him and he laid down. Its been a mine so I took a video and was sending it to my wife. No sooner than I hit send he pops his head up and I'm out of bullets. Start digging around in my pockets for em and he spots me and started crawling then hops on his feet stumbling. Finally about to put another in him to finish him off. He ended up maybe 30 yards from the doe luckily. Met another member from this board and offered to assist on the drag out so I didn't turn that down lol.
