Well I'm here with a little bit of regret on Sunday night. Figured I would start a small conversation about a stand that I left on a tree after leaving the woods yesterday afternoon. I found a location on an acorn covered Oak flat, that was absolutely torn up. Large rubs along with multiple fresh scrapes cover the area. Although it looks like it would be ideal bow hunting location, I just couldn't ignore the amount of deer sign. So I decided to hang a climber on a tree before leaving the woods yesterday afternoon, unfortunately the absolute best tree on the flat was right beside the largest scrape. The flat has multiple other scrapes and tons of rubs, but the largest scrape which looks to be on a game Trail was right beside the best tree to hang my climber. I set a camera on the scrape and went ahead and hung my climber not returning until the week of Thanksgiving. Now I'm sitting here kind of kicking myself for leaving the climber where it is, right beside that large scrape. What are your thoughts? Did I allow my excitement to possibly slow down activity, or will the deer be okay with me leaving my climber?
