What are those small gas heaters someone talked about.
One guy used it "under" his ladder stand. I was thinking about the same and also in our small box stand.
 
I have a Coleman. It takes one small propane cylinder. Runs like 5 or 6 hours on low. I don't even know if they make the Colemans anymore. I mostly see the "Buddy" heaters now. They should work just fine. They also make them that just hook up to a bottle of propane. Either should work.

"yep Buddy" heaters- where do I find those?
 
Most "buddy" heaters I've seen were pretty large, like the size you would use in a room. I don't think you could stay in a stand very long with one of those running, even on low.
 
I've got a the big buddy heater and they're kinda large to be hauling around in the woods. I've also got a Coleman Blackcat heater and it is much better for use in a small blind.

Walmart, outdoor stores. If the buddy heater gets too hot simply turn it off for awhile. You won't use alot of gas either.
They make buddy heaters in a one cylinder and two cylinder size. You would be ok with the one.

yep- looked them up and there are 3 sizes smallest is a screwon the nozzle of the cylinder- may be good.
 
ive got the mr. buddy portable heater and it keeps you toasty. you can buy it at rural king for 74.99. its 4000 btu on low and 9000 on high.
they also have a smaller 3800btu for 59.99. i went ahead and bought the bigger one in case i ever need it around the house in an emergency. its lightweight and easily fits in a stand
 
I use a Mr. Buddy heater mostly when I take my son and we're in one of the boxes we have on our club. It works pretty good.
 
We have been using alcohol and toilet paper heaters in our box blinds for years, they work great. Just get you a old gallon coffee can with a lid on it. Put a double roll of toilet paper down inside it, then pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol over the roll of toilet paper and light it when ur in ur stand. This will give off more than enough heat for a enclosed box blind. Then when your done hunting for the morning, just snap the lid down on it to extingish the flame, until your ready to hunt again. All you have to do is relight it the next time you hunt. This is a very cheap way to stay warm on those cold and damp days.
 
It gives off a clear flame that you can hardly see or smell while burning. Guys its amazing what you can do with a roll of the ole butt paper and a cheap bottle of alcohol, lol.
 
no wonder you knew how to do that 12point your from lake co :D jk with ya man. i used to live on hwy 22 right before you get to preutt's gas station.

i have a buddy heater but im going to try that this with with the coffee can.
