Hey Everyone. I love all the chatter in here about chasing squirrels. With so much more experience/skill in this forum than I have I wanted to hear from some of you regarding your experiences/knowledge/tips on finding squirrels in inclement weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.)

I'm always looking to learn and gain insight!

I've never really had a lot of luck hunting in a heavy rain but love to be in the woods after a rain. You can hear those jokers jumping through the limbs for a long ways. Usually by the time it's snowy weather the squirrels are on the ground searching for their food and you really need a dog.

I've had a lot of success through the years squirrel hunting with dogs on drizzly, cloudy days, especially if it is a warm day for the season. If it's raining very hard I don't usually try it :)

My father loved to hunt squirrels after a rain, especially when leaves are still on the trees. When they jump on a limb, it sounds like spilling a bucket of bird shot. Easy to find.
