I got my boy the CZ 513,,havent used it for squirrels yet,,but it drives nails,,I would say 75 yard head shots would be quiet easy..

I have had several 10 limit days with the Speedmaster,,bought it in 88 and I would say it has been shot well over 100,000 times,,

I did kill one with it that was 82 steps to the base of the tree,,
 
oh i got them. this thread was posted earlier in the small game forum, but will gladly post photos of my baby. she does work for a living. but first here is a photo of my new backup squirrel rifle. just got her setup. she is just for fun, but my goal is a couple limits for her this yr. browning bl-22 grade 2 with burris timberline 4x20 scope.

and here is the squirrel killing machine. 15 one day limits and 1 perfect hunt- 10 shots- 10 gray squirrels. trigger is set on 2.5 lbs, glass bedded, 6 lbs. cz 452 american. I have just taken off the burris compact and added a leupold 2-8x28 with fine crosshairs. the burris was optically poor. cant wait till season opens. here are a few from last yr. all limits, of course

Speedmasters are pretty guns. Do you ever squirrel hunt with it mr big? You know can shave down 22 lr ammo to get the velocity up.

yes,,when the leaves are on early season,I use shorts,,they are real quiet and you can get off more shots without scaring them all off,,when the leaves are off and I can see farther I use PMC zappers,

back left to right, 17hmr nef- 22mag marlin 882ssv then some marlins with a ruger 10/22T in the front,all will drive tacks if you can hold em :),the pistol is a ruger 6 7/8 SS slab side with too strong a scope 4x32 is too much in the squirrel woods for quick work,going to buy a reddot & put on it,mike243
 
The Model 82 has been discontinued since I bought mine, it and the 17 HM2 shoot very good. I relly like the feel of these more so than most other rimfires out there. I bet your Dads is an awesome rifle, I remeber you had it for a spell, and loved it.
