So quick question...

Do you have better luck with squirrel doing the walk/wait/walk method or the sit for an hour before moving method?

I like to stalk until you see a squirrel and then sit down until he moves.He might have friends also.

Depends on the ground. If its quiet I will stalk them If its dry and crunchy I will ambush em.

I prefer still hunting for squirrel. but sometimes will sit for a while.

last month I was walking around with a shotgun looking for ducks, doves and squirrel and had steel shot in the gun. I sat down by a tree and took a short nap. A sound in the leaves woke me, and I saw a squirrel 10 feet away jump onto the base of a tree as I raised my gun and blasted it. Unfortunately I hit it in the rear instead of the head, not sure how that happened, but it was not pretty.

yeah that's where most of the meat is, also the front legs/shoulders are good, but not as much meat. That squirrel was a waste...

I have the best results by stalking. But I dont stalk the squirrels, I stalk up to groups of oak trees. And oak trees that border pine flats are absolute honey-holes. I ease up close but not into the oaks and set up a camo folding chair quietly and with as little movement and noise as possible. Then I dont move a muscle for 20-30 minutes watching. I stay far enough away that I can see but the squrrels forget about me because Im not an immediate threat.
