A little over a week and it will be time for bushy tails. Been a long time since February and I'm ready for some quiet time in the woods. Anyone else counting down the days?
True statement, and some benefit could be had with a little coordination from both sides. In my parts. the majority of guys squirrel hunt first three hours of the day, and the majority of guys trying to shoot a velvet buck will be in the woods last three hours of the day. I know that some velvet hunters will be out at first light, but if they know much about buck movement this time of year, especially 3.5+ year old buck movement, their time will be best spent in a tree the last hour or two of daylight.gat51":1geneyfb said:On the topic of the velvet antler hunt on the opener of squirrel season, the squirrel hunters will likely move deer as they hunt through the woods.
