squirrel dog training

I got a new pup and am wanting to try to train him to hunt....can anyone lead me in the right direction for some stuff to read or anyone have any advise on starting him...he is a 5 month old rat terrier...seems to be pretty smart

Be careful what you read on websites. What may be legal in other states may not be legal here. Let me go ahead and tell you trapping a squirrel and putting it in a cage for training is illegal in Tennessee.
