squash beetles already!

Just watered the seedlings in the garden and killed nearly a dozen squash beetles off my squash/watermelons.

Going to be a tough year but I have a secret weapon.....

Beware the chickens!

squash bugs are the worst. At least for squash and other cucurbits... so many of them, they can coat the leaves like aphids. Wish I had some chickens to throw out there Might try making another all natural garlic-type spray again.

I need to build some wire cages to move around the garden. Keep the birds off the good stuff.
