I had a SOCOM 16 and it would be good for what it was made for as a CQB rifle,,especially against body armor but they arent really accurate and are heavy even with short bbl,,I would rather have an AR10 and traded mine off,,,they are fun to shoot though just dont expect them to shoot like an M1A National Match,,1.5-2 inch groups at 100 yards was how mine shot and it didnt matter if it was mil-surp or Gold Medal Match ammo it shot about the same,,
