A lot of clover products state that in our area of the south a sringtime planting is not recommended. However, I have noticed that a lot of people on here have planted their clover plots in the spring with pretty good sucess. Which do you prefer - planting clover plots in the spring, or waiting to plant them in the fall when it is recommended by the manufacturer?

I planted in late march last year and consider myself lucky, most times that will fail. you run the risk either way,.. oct is a very dry period in tn also,.. which can cause failure. I still say a fall planting, followed up with a spraying to control grass and weeds a few weeks after, then frost seeding to cover the lull areas in feb works better overall.
