Food Plots Spraying my clover

I sprayed Clethodim a couple of weeks ago which really knocked back the grasses but in one of my plots I have a problem with Broad Leaf weeds so I was going to buy some 2,4-DB and spray. Is it too late in the growing season to do this, anyone have any experience with this chemical?

1) You can also control broadleaf very well this time of year through mowing; just set your deck high and clip the tops off.
2) If you have commercial farming/agricultural crops anywhere near be EXTREMELY careful with DB...especially the ester variety. With the high daytime temperatures we're experiencing it can quickly volatilize and be carried miles from it's point of application. It will absolutely smoke a cotton crop and some Co-Ops won't even sell it at certain time of the year in many regions.

I've used 2,4-DB in my clover/alfalfa field pretty much any time in the growing season with good success. I've always heard what Boll Weevil is saying but have been lucky so far in that it's never happened to me. It's still something to watch for.
