Spraying Clover for Weeds

Hello all. For those that have had success spraying clover for weeds, do you mind sharing your formula of chemicals for getting the job done? Here is one I found:

1 quart 24DB/acre
1 quart Poast plus/acre
1 pint Surfactant/acre
mixed with 10 gallons water/acre

I'll let you know on the costs. If I did not hear input of a better way, I was going to purchase Friday and give it a shot.

I am no expert, but I think this combo handles both grass and weeds. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. I got this formula from a freind who told me he had success with it cleaning up his clover plot. I guess I can be the guinea pig and let you guys know how it works :)

Here is the pricing (pretax) I just got from Coop:

24DB, 1 gal. $35
Poast Plus, 2 � gal, $155
Serfactant, 1 gal., $15.99

If I do the math right, the cost comes to $26.25/acre for the chemicals. I'll keep you all posted on results.

my clover is mid-shin high and is going to need a spray or a mow here before to long.

I'm not a expert by any means.
What should I do?

I have no tractor or implements.

just a 4wheeler with
spray rig
seeder/spreader
ATV Disc

REALLY would like to have a swisher but need a new jobs and some steady income for that.

I am mowing mine tomorrow.. and putting down more pre-emergent.

I mow mine with a weedeater...

I clipped 3 of my clover fields Thursday evening and Friday morning, to take advantage of the cooler weather and rain, mowing clover in hot weather will really set it back. Clipping it helps to promote more growth, a mid thigh high it needs cutting

All, just an update. This mix worked really well. I actually have a 1 acre field with a lot of "wild" clover in it I thought I would use as my test case. I sprayed about 1/4 acre of it last weekend. Checked it Sunday and you can really see the difference between the sprayed and non sprayed area. Did not hurt the clover one bit. I was going to take pics but forgot my camera :) I am out of town this week but will get some pics posted as soon as I can.

You are correct Jared, the poast plus active indredient is Sethoxydim....a grass only killer. this is the active ingredient also in arrest. the 24db is the broadleaf weed killer.

what I would plant. The deer would be happy too. Don't get me
wrong, artificially grow food is good too, but during the antler
growing season, deer are seaking out the most nutritious plants.

I guess the commercial seeds companys want me to shut up. On the
other hand, I might give them some ideas.

I looked into poke salad seeds,fairly expensive,with lots of steps in getting the seed ready,the deer with have to eat clover at my place till the smallmouth quit biting

In a 5gal I use like half or quarter a cup.

Not a lot goes a long way! works great. my buddy who is a landscaper/ turf manager told me about it.

I sprayed a clover plot with diluted gly 1 oz. per gal. I don't know my results yet though, but I read on QDM forum this worked.
