Spinning rods

I'm in the market for a good all around spinning rod 6'6 -7 ft will mostly fish Texas rigs but will also fish other lighter stuff I've been looking at the duckett ghost anyone use this rod or have any good recommendations in the $115 price range I would like a medium or medium heavy fast tip thanks

I have never had a "good" fishing rod before.
Oddly enough my son and I both bought the same rod you are talking about in a baitcaster version a few weeks ago. (Thanks tnreb!!)

All I can tell you is WOW!!!!
I absolutely LOVE IT.

Kinda sucks though because now I know what kind of crap I have been fishing with all these years.

I will own another one, there is no doubt about that.

Its a bit higher but I would check out Hammer Rods All American Elite Micro SPIN (7' Medium Heavy). It $142 on Tackle Trap. Hammer rods run a little light on their powers so a medium heavy is more like a strong medium from other rod companies. Very light rod and super sensitive. Good shakey head rod and small texas rigs. I wouldnt throw anything over 1/4 ounce on it (maybe could get away with 3/8). Probably the best bang for your buck. Its my favorite rod I use even though I throw baitcasters 90% of the time.

I have all the Good Rod brands and Hands down Carrot stir makes the overall best spinning rod. I really like Abu Garcia Like Ike series spinning rod too. My favorite 2 and I use spin gear more than casting gear.

Put a little bit more money with it and buy a gloomis. I have fished with alot of rods and a Loomis is the best rod hands down.

I have a Hammer casting rod (7'3 Heavy) and really like it. I love that it's a Missiissippi company. My next couple of rods will probably be Hammer.

I fished for years with the green bps extreme rods. Very good rods for the money and still own three. Shimano Crucial and maybe a used cumara in that range, both excellent rods.

Look at the St. Croix Premier line of rods. I believe I have 5 of their spinning rods and am very pleased.

I have been fishing Joe's custom rods out of cleveland Tn. For a few years now.
I really like the feel of his rods. 100-150 dollar rods.

I have a Level Performance M/XF that I'm really impressed with for texas rigging. It's a little more than 115 but not by much.
