Didn't know about it until now. Looks like I'm spending some time in the MTS. Wish I had a good map. Might lend to a target area. May just stalk.
 
I have always heard about the lack of deer in the mountains, and I agree it's not like middle TN, but I have found some really good sign and I'm pretty optimistic about this weekend. Fingers crossed!!

I was able to squeeze some time up there this morning. Spotted a spike working a creek bottom had him in my crosshairs but couldnt get the shot i wanted...had to leave got stuff to do this afternoon

Slow morning on the mountain wind was blowing pretty good. Seen 3 deer total 2 doe and the third deer I am not sure of never came out of the thicket. Will be back up there in the morning
