Does anyone put sorghum in their food plots? An older member on my hunting lease convinced me to try it this year. I only put it around the perimeter of my field. Any thoughts?

Great! That's what I hoped to hear. I put it around my field edge hoping it might camo me a little better too. By that point in the season there is usually not much left in that field

Did u use the roundup ready variety? If so how's it doing.. I was going to plant some this yr but couldn't find the rr variety. Next yr I am going to plant it..
Honestly not sure what variety it was since the gentleman gave it to me and another buddy. I can say that it is not doing well as it appears to have been eaten as it sprouted. At least that was the latest observation.

I didn't use RR seed when I did mine but I prepped my plot. It grows so thick I hardly had any weed competition. Did you spring plant it? You may have soil issues...I've planted sorghum several times and never had any evidence of use until it matured.
