Awoke this morning so sore I could barley move. That is the result of yesterdy's deer dragging and walking and climbing etc. if I can move at all tomorrow, I shall be in the "Killing Tree" at dawn or just after. In 13-years, I have killed either 33 or 34 deer from this tree, passed up seven so far this year. Tomorrow, I shoot the fustun to walk by.
I have four more famlies I have promised deer and don't forsee a problem with that. But tomorrow just might turn into a buck kinda day.
Today, I am enjoying cooking me a cobbler and doing a tremendous amount of next to nothing. I told my wife, "This is how I use to feel in the spring, when I got on four barback horses in one afternoon in the practice pen."
