Hunter wanted to split up this morning since we had birds gobbling in several places. I heard him shoot at 7 o'clock sharp then got the text "lb down". 20 pounds 1 ounce, 9 inch beard, and 1 inch spurs. I know you guys remember that "first solo longbeard" milestone. He was thrilled.

Don't be so adiment about letting him go off like that. To him he thinks he's further into manhood but to us I'd love if my old man wanted to hunt with me one morning but he won't.

That's a special milestone. I'm sure it's a little bittersweet since he won't be by your side every hunt now!

I agree. I wish my dad was able to hunt with us. I like that my son is old enough to help out with all the work involved with hunting, but miss him being little at the same time.
