It has been slow on our farm at exit 8, I put up a ground blind on Saturday evening in an area that over watches a bedding area. We got into it about 330pm yesterday, unfortunately the chair I was sitting in didn't last so I sat outside the blind....I told him to keep looking forward and I watched his six sitting in some dead fall. about 430 a doe came out behind him so I got his attention, she was 100yds away. He lines her up and I watch in my scope....click? I look at him and say that it would work better if there was a round in the chamber, luckily she didn't hear/see him as he put a round in the chamber. He took his time and lined her up again and made a great shot. This was his first time gutting a deer.....so I started it and told him what to do. Luckily we have a key to the gate and I was able to drive the truck right up to her. I will have the wife send me the pictures so I can post later.
