Checking trail cams today, I ran up on this flock. Around 25 birds saw 3 strut and the rest looked like hens with 5 or 6 jakes.. Sure got me ready!

I've started seeing birds too, jakes and tons especially, but not seen any strut yet. Not too far off though. Just a little over a month...

I've got sheds and morels on my mind, so the wait for turkey season isn't too bad for me. When it comes I'll be the first in the woods trying for a public land gobbler.

I saw probably 15 toms in full strut on the way to work this morning from Corryton to Tazewell. Never called one in and killed one, but can't wait to give it a shot again.
