Something new

Welp... doing something i haven't done in a while. This morning I'm hunting on a piece of TVA property I've never hunted before. I've been fortunate to lease land for years, still have it. But, doing something different. It's a tiny tract amongst a bunch of private farm land. I have no idea what kind of bucks are here, but i know there are a lot of deer in the area. Thought there might be hunters crawling all over this piece of property, so i got here way early. Nobody so far, but it's still pretty early . Haven't hunted like this in a long time.

Nothing here. Slight wind, but low pressure and humid. Not ideal

Had 8 does and two small racked bucks in my yard this morning.
Gonna wait til the rut gets going a little better plus it's warm today

I'm retired so I'll let the working guys have their weekend hunt and I'll do mine during the week.

I got busted climbing my tree. Not sure what but it was alone and had a deep snort. The way my luck is going this season I'm sure it was the biggest buck in the county

What county? I hunted TVA in Hamilton this AM, but wind was swirling and ended up getting up enough to make my vertigo kick in so I had to climb down out of my tree

I'm in WMA and doing the same. I'm in a tee getting rained on. Good luck. So far no other hunters.
