Someone please help me

I bought a new TC Omega and I love it. I am shooting 100 grain pyrodex pellets and the 250 grain shockwave sabbot. I have shot 2 deer and killed them both. The doe last Sunday morning ran about 60 yards and I never found a drop of blood till I got to her. I killed a 4point this morning that ran about 80-100 yards through pine thicket and I found blood about 10 yards from where he piled up. Honestly I probably gound him because of what happened not finding blood with the doe. It is leaving an exit hole the size of half dollar and I don't understand. Anyone else having this problem? I just like to be able to track if they run.

Swap to xtp's. Or move up to 150 grains of powder.

moving up to 150 grains of powder will not help you achieve more blood its a waste of powder..i also have shot 2 with my muzzleloader and i shoot 90 grains of loose pryodex using xtp 240 grains sabots.8 pointer was shot in shoulder bullet lodged in opposite shoulder under the skin exactly what the combo was made to do dissipate its energy inside of deer.it didnt bleed much but only went maybe 25 yds.i shot a doe yesterday morn and same thing bullet lodged in opposite shoulder and no blood.i watched her go 50 yds and nosed dived into the ground.boths bullets spent there energy inside the deer.what there susposed to do.i would prefer that anyday of the week compared to a huge exit hole.ive killed deer with 60 grains of powder using the best sabots in the world a xtp 240 grain hornady.most sabots are designed for the low end of velocity 1300-1800 fps.i shot a 6 pointer last year and it made a hole the size of my fist on the exit it took out the lungs and the opposite shoulder he bled like a stuck pig but still was able to run 150 yds.are u shooting them behind the shoulder???i only take standing shoulder shots that way your break THE LEG AND GET LUNGS /HEART ALL IN ONE SHOT.a lot of foks will aim for the behind the shoulder and thats when you get those deer than will not bleed a lot and go farther than you like.i have been muzzleloading now for 31 yrs and i have shot a ton of deer and i have always used the xtp sabot backed by either 85-90 grains of loose pryodex and i can onestly say(knock on wood)that i havent lost a deer yet.i have a small pile of sabots i have recovered from the opposite shoulder just under the skin and i have seen those same sabots make ginormous exit holes.i would recomend using 100 grains of loose pryodex(better velocaties) and taking nothing but shoulder shots it will cut down on the tracking and in my exp provide bigger blood trails and shorter tracking jobs

They are not bonded. Thanks for the advice highcountry. I was thinking of going to the 300 grain hornady. I will try this out and let you know how it goes. Although I only get to hunt 1 more time with my muzzleloader because I am on midnights this week. I will be out there with em Friday evening.

Some just don't bleed that much.
First deer this year was straight on, 250gr Barnes Expander MZ with full expansion. Destroyed shoulder joint, through the heart. Still ran 60yds through heavy brush. Blood trail was so light, was hands and knees in the dark. Drop every 5 feet or do.
One on Friday was through both shoulders/lungs (switch to Hornady 250gr SSTs). Ran like a greyhound for 100yds before piling up. Didn't find blood trail at point of shooting, but heard her go down. After dressing, followed the trail BACK and it only went about 50 yards. So, no blood first 50.

LOL Bart. Thats a good one. I shot both of these from ground level. Thats what im running into Lance. Just not finding any blood until I get to the deer. It is super thick where I am too. After friday I will bring out the trusty 7mag tho.

Had same problem with non bonded sabots. Went from 250gr non bonded to 250gr bonded shockwaves and they have performed well. Shot a doe last weekend found blood where she was standing.

Its funny that you bring that up. I haven't thought about it but I am actually color blind. It hasn't occured to me to think about it till now. Thank you for saying that. Not saying that is is but it could have something to do with it since I am looking for both of these deer in a pine thicket.

Right on, live weight in area 33 mid October. At the time it was the second largest doe shot on the Fort. I believe the first largest was in the 170's, live weight of course.

Had the same problem with the shockwave some expand but most just blow thru, lost 2 deer in 3 yrs. Switch tc xtp 240 gr awesome blood trail never lost 1 with an xtp
