Soil Sample Labs

I have used my local extention office for soil sample testing and have not happy with the way their procedures are conducted. I have some doubts that I am getting back the results from my food plots. I went out over the weekend to look at some plots that I had planted and was not pleased with the results. Can anyone recommend a lab to have a soil analysis done on some food plots? I was wondering what the approximate cost is and what do they tell you other then how many pounds of lime and fertilizer for a particular plot. I was wondering if they make recommendations as what to plant on that particular food plot.

There's one in Memphis that is very good. It was associated with BioLogic at one time.

Anyone know the labs name? They specialize in soil analysis specifically for food plot applications.

BSK, I can't think of the name right now but it's right next to Range USA shooting range. I'll write down the name if I go by there this week.

we use the Ag business that we buy our seed, fertlizer and chemicals from, they have never charged us a fee

Most any seed company or even your local co-op will send them off for a small fee.

Stoner - I use and recommend A&L Laboratories located in Memphis, TN. They are good people to deal with, they go a great job with the analysis and they generally submit your lab results via email (Adobe PDF) in a couple of days.

Yup, A&L Labs is the one I was think about. After looking at their webpage, I recognize the style of their reports.
