So who's in the woods today. Curious to hear how every bodies hunt is going. Is everybody seeing deer. I've been in the tree since daylight and it haven't seen a thing. The wind is just killing me

Was up on a tree from 7-12:50. No freaking deer seen today too. Wind picked up from 9am and couldnt bear the cold, so quit at 12:50.

I dont know what it is that I am never seeing a deer. Started hunting last year rifle season and never saw a deer all of the season. Waited eagerly for 9 months for the bow season to start, spent a ton of $$, made everything scent free (if that was the issue), spent a ton of time on this forum reading. Only thing missing still is the sight of the deer while i am in the blind or treestand. I see deer while driving to the spot but none when i am up there. Even today, a doe jumped in front of my van. Interestingly, my friend who uses same spot gets one every time. I am happy for him. I just dont get it why i dont see a deer..well, some day, will get one.
 
Got in the blind around 11 and no deer yet... 4 hens and some poults that's been it so far. The wind died down for a while but picked back up and the temps seem to be dropping.

:) I understand there is a lot of parameters to deer hunting and am just a newbie, trying to learn this thing. I know there is deer in the area I hunt because my friend shoots one everytime from the same stand I am on. Do you have any pointers on what I could be doing wrong? Could it be my coffee, my sandwich, my prescription glasses or body scent? Any tip is much appreciated.

Sorry I didnt mean to hijack this thread; my apologies if I did. It's been painfully long that I have gone without seeing a deer.
