So who is going tomorrow?

We went out yesterday afternoon to brush us up a ground blind and I was pleasantly surprised.
We saw about 15 teal, 20-25 woodies and 11 geese while we were there.
This was at about from 4:30 till 5:30 so I would like to hope that prime time (first hour of the day) there should be multiple targets. :)

I am excited with guarded optimism. :D

I'm gonna try to jump a couple on the creek at my place. No Teal but a few woodies. My expectations are set pretty low! Lol

Going to try it. We had been seeing several flying the river about sunset but the last few days haven't seen many. Holding out hope

We ended Saturday with 1 woody hen. For 7 shooters. Not much flying where we were. Heard a little shooting back up toward Cypress Creek, but it was sporadic. I imagine mostly woodies, we saw 7 teal all morning. Didn't hunt today, went to church instead. Gonna take Thursday and Friday and see if we can get a few then.

Sorry, I didn't see this til now. I was hunting around Vonore. Opening weekend we saw a BUNCH but had a hard time getting them to commit. Had a group of 3 come in, got 2 of them. Then a group of 30, got 1. I need to practice my shooting lol

I know I'm new to TN, but what am I missing here. TWRA shows goose opening Oct 8, and duck Nov 26. Was there an early season I missed?

TN has a 5 day early teal/wood duck season and a 4 day teal only season in Sept. It's in the regular hunting guide, not the waterfowl guide. The waterfowl guide isn't in print in time to include these early hunts.

and im pretty sure most states have the early goose Sept. 1-15..

Also that goose season opening oct. 8 is only open till oct. 25th, then closed till reg season

Well that would explain it, I was looking in the waterfowl guide. Glad to know where to look for next year.
