...if deer aren't hitting my food plots. I got something even better.

I love to turkey hunt, probably more than deer hunting. But, at one of my stands I have had dozens of turkeys roosted around me every morning. They then fly down and usually take a couple of hours to move away. The noise a large flock of turkeys can make will drive you crazy. A flock over 100 yards away can make so much noise scratching that it is all but impossible to hear the deer walking.
 
I had a group of 18 long-beards work underneath my stand the other day. I could forget hearing a deer coming for the half hour those birds were around. DANG they make a lot of noise!
 
When I'm meat hunting (which is primarily why I deer hunt), I do hate to see the birds. However I do take advantage and observe their behavior and how they talk to one another.
I also hate to see them right after I seed my plots in late summer/early fall.

As far as hunting for sport, I will take turkey over deer any-day...
