Shot at a nice 8 this morning. Shot felt good but he ran about 50 yards and stopped. Started snorting and walked away. No blood or hair. Anyone killed one that snorted after being shot?

I did the infamous let's watch and see if he goes down instead of sending another one. Lesson learned
Sounds like a miss to me but would still go look.

One thing I've tried to instill in my kid's head is if it's still moving, ammo is cheaper than one getting away, and send another round.

The buck I killed on November 1st this year, the shot felt good, but the deer started walking away like he was gut shot. Luckily I got back on him and when he got quartering away and I squeezed off another round. Turned out my first shot hit low brisket, there was a twig I didn't see that I hit, which sent my shot low.

Deer do weird stuff though, and like Ski said I would still go and look even if you didn't find blood where you think he was standing.

Only one ive had do that was a single lung hit and he stopped and started snorted blood out his nose, he went another 150 laid down could here him coughing and snorting out blood, took him about thirty minutes to expire
