Incase you haven't tried it. Sno-Seal is awesome for reconditioning your boots and waterproff your boots. I use it all my boots old and new.

It is a bee's Wax based rub and you heat your boot up with a hair dryer and it will penetrate into your boots material.

You can get it at Gander Mt. for $5.99

It will do around 6-8 boots.

Great investment to keep your boots in great shape and make them last a year or 2 longer.

Used it years ago on leather boots. I would put the boots in the oven for a few minutes on low heat, just enough to get the leather warm, then rub it in.

I swear by it, 9 winter seasons in MT. Warm/hot leather makes the difference.

A trick I learned in the Army for polishing the black boots is to use a heat gun, the type used for stripping paint. For the Sno-Seal, I would rub it into the leather and then melt it in with the heat gun. Two or three coats this way and you are done.

If you ever find any, try some Hubbard's shoe grease. It's from Oregon I think and is what White's recommends for their boots. I've still got a few cans left before I have to find another source myself. It's a combo of beeswax and pine tar.

I use my boot dryers usually, but have used hair dryers or the old standby of just sitting them in a sunny window.

I use the stuff on my leather fire boots. They get wet then dry outside then back in the bag. This stuff keeps them from cracking and getting hard. Still look like new.

Just put a fresh coat on my Danners. Great stuff.
I'm on my 2nd pair of 10" Danner Fort Lewis Boots in 20 + years. They get a fresh coat every year.
This combination is outstanding and highly recommended. I dont use the snow seal before 3 yrs from new.
Danners can't be beat IMO.
