I just posted a link in the Deals forum for the Lacrosse Alpha-agility snake boots. Natchez Shooting Supply has them 31% off right now. I have used them the past two seasons and found them to be very comfortable with great traction. And, totally waterproof.
They are not as light as the hiking boot/snake gaiter combo, but if you like/need a waterproof rubber boot option, these have been great for me. They certainly give me better peace of mind in some of the areas I am walking through that hold a healthy population of fangs.
