I'll also add that I wore Irish Setter Vaprtrek for a few years. They were nice and comfortable but didn't stay waterproof as long as I would like. They also came apart on the side before they should but were very comfortable.

Scratch the snake boots! I wore them for years and all pretty much sucked. A member suggested buying a quality pair of boots, I bought Crispi's and paired them with some crackshot snake gaiters. Comfortable, waterproof and snake proof

My wife bought me a pair for Christmas last year and they are very comfortable. So comfortable I wear them in rotation during the winter while deer hunting.

Years before I had a pair of LaCrosse snake boots and they had no give at all in the part that came up the leg. I wore them just a few times and quit using them. I think I actually ended up throwing them away. So was leery on these until I tried some on and then ordered online when they had a really good deal going on them.
 
It's hard to find a snake boot that is both comfortable and waterproof. Irish setters have the comfort down, but waterproof is hit or miss.

My reccomendation is to get a good pair of hiking boots and pair with snake gaiters.
 
Hard to beat Lacrosse. They don't wear like a normal pull on waterproof boot. They feel more like a hiking boot. I went cheap initially and paid the price with my feet hurting. After that, I spent the money and haven't regretted
 
How much distance do you cover on an outing? I try to match my footwear to the distances I travel. Under 2 miles= Mucks or something equivalent. Up to 5 miles = lace up Rocky's. Over 5 miles = comfortable hikers with gaiters.

Got 5 dollars for mine in a yard sale, worst boots I ever had!
 
I almost stepped right on a bad one last year. I bought some Rocky's on sale after that. I put some miles on them and I like them.
 
I'm using some Rocky Lynx snake boots now, I used to like the Longbeards but the soles would crap out pretty quick.
The Lynx boots are comfortable but the waterproof part is pretty non existent
