For all the Smokeless vets, what kind of 209 primer is best? Plan on shooting 250 gr Hornady's and 50 gr of 4198. I have some standard Winchester 209 primers ,but have read alot of folks saying they use magnum primers.
Duplexing helps with ignition issues and usually increases muzzle velocity. What were the conditions you had misfires in? Only misfire I've ever had with H4198 was with non magnum primers and a VERY dirty breech plug.barkscraper said:Had a couple misfires with the h4198 2 yrs ago so i switched to the mag primers plus i added 10 gr or n110 under the 4198 problem fixed Do some research and you will find people have had the same problems in cold weather with the h4198
