For all you guys that are shooting smokeless MZ's what are you storing your powder in when transporting it from the house to the range/field..I've over on dougsmessage board about useing 5ML powder vials, and they work good, but, was wondering where i might get these locally? Instead of having to order them.

I use the vials off Doug's board, don't guess that helps you, lol. I measure out 20 or so at once and put them in a little MTM Caseguard 20 gauge shotshell holder box. When it's time to hunt I just grab a couple of vials and head out. I've got different vial cap colors for different grain loads.

I know a lot of guys using 7mm Mag empty shells, they say a valve stem cap fits on the end of it just perfect and works great, haven't tried it myself but that is a possibility if you have access to somme 7mag brass. It also makes for a nice "funnel" to dump the powder down the barrel.

X2 there's a couple guys on there that will take care of ya and do it quick. Both times I've got some they sent extras in the pack  the different caps for different loads works well.

+1, they work great, just wipe insides with a Fabric Softener sheet to get rid of the static cling and go to WalMart, you'll find some weird ice cube trays that make cylindrical ice cubes. These little vials will fit in it like they were made for them. Very inexpensive, works great. 58 grs. of IMR4198, 195 gr. Barnes, Blue Harvester sabot. CVA Apex converted to smokeless, Priceless!

Red top blood collection tubes. They have expiration dates and when expired we can no longer use them. I have the lab save the expired ones for me and use them for powder storage. I weigh my charges, drop them in the tubes, insert the rubber stopper back in the end and write the type of powder and weight of charge on the paper label.

or get you some good ones like these red caps for savage white cap for t777
